Meet Sammy: The Heart of Galilee Travels
They say to truly understand the African wilderness, you have to explore it with someone who speaks its language. For over three decades, our CoFounder and Lead Safari Director - Mr Sammy Mugo has been doing exactly that.
He doesn't manage our trips from a distant office desk he is right there on the plains where he belongs. Behind the wheel, personally guiding our guests through every corner of Kenya. His legendary knack for wildlife tracking and deep connection to the land means your journey is not about rushing through a rigid checklist of animals. Instead, it is about the unforgettable moments, sitting quietly as he spots a hidden leopard, finding the perfect spot for a sun downer, or sharing stories and laughs around a campfire.
Mr Sammy views organising these journeys not just as a job, but as a genuine craft that requires absolute care, safety, and a touch of a local heart.
